Top 10 Must Haves for Serious Pageant Competitors Only

Top 5 at NAM Nationals 16 in the Junior Pre Teen division

Here are the Top 10 Must Haves for Serious Pageant Competitors:

10. Photographer - Serious pageant girls need headshots for comp cards, program books, photogenic competitions, and social media, too! Selfies and school pictures will not be sufficient to achieve the effect of a serious pageant competitor. Be sure to get a photographer that specializes in pageant headshots rather than a mall studio or another specialty type. They will know just how to capture the contestant so you can submit winning photos.

9. Photo Editor - This may be the photographer or another vendor. Photographers can take excellent shots, but if the shot is marred with fly-aways or bad acne, it just ruins the whole photo.

8. Photo Printer - www.mpix.com is a highly recommended online printer. Images are ordered and they come right to your mailbox. What good is a fabulous shot if its on a bad print?

7. Hairstylist - I can't count the number of times I've seen moms frantically curling hair only to have it fall or succumb to humidity leaving the contestants looking like a bird nest fell onto their heads. Or worse, their hair is overdone and it takes away from the contestant's face and smile. Get a good hairstylist to help you on pageant day or anytime you need to look picture perfect.

6. Make-Up Artist - Especially for photo shoots and the day of pageant. You want to look your best. Also, stage make-up is very different than every-day makeup. You'll need to have make-up applied with an expertise of an experienced make up artist who knows how to make your look stand against the vastness of the stage and bright lights.

5. Seamstress - Buying things off the rack in your size will only go so far. Take it to the next level and have a seamstress nip and tuck the places on all of your garments to make you look amazing. Great seamstresses can also custom design and tailor one-of-a-kind looks just for you!

4. Walking Coach - Highly recommended for perfecting your formal wear presentation and modeling routines.

3. Speech Writer - When you deliver your personal introduction and spokesmodel, and farewell speeches, you want them to stand out. A good speech writer will also be able to coach the contestant through the delivery of the speech rather than just hand over words on a page. Speeches are written all the time for people in the real world. There's no shame in having an experienced speechwriter help you out in the pageant world as well!  Click HERE to schedule a FREE consultation with a speechwriter from Crown Captors.

2. Pageant Interview Coach - A widely known fact is that the pageant is won in the interview room. You need a coach to teach you how to lead the interview and how to make your personality shine. Click HERE to schedule a FREE consultation with an interview coach from Crown Captors.

1. Momager - Who else other than mom would be best to organize all this? Moms are the glue that holds everything together, and mama usually knows best when it comes to pageantry.
